THE SWANNERY IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE WINTER SEASON - REOPENING 15TH MARCH 2025.
Disabled badge holders may take their vehicles to a designated parking area. On arrival follow the signage and pull into the layby opposite the ticket office, enter the ticket office and staff will direct you to the disabled parking area.
If you are a wheelchair user the two main walks are gravelled paths. There are three manual wheelchairs onsite that can be borrowed, subject to availability.
One companion is admitted free of charge per disabled visitor.
Disabled adult and disabled child tickets can be purchased at the ticket office on the day or online. For each purchased disabled ticket one free carer is permitted. Disability documents will be requested on arrival (such as blue/orange badge or similar).
Toilets are located for visitors with disabilities at the entrance and inside the Swannery near the bouncing bomb exhibit.
Sorry, dogs (including assistance dogs) are not permitted within the Swannery. This is due to the extremely sensitive nature of the site and the close proximity of visitors to a wild population of Mute Swans within the Nature Reserve.
